- 489-501
This paper compares three different clinical physiotherapy placement models (1:1, 2:1 and 3:1). Eight clinical educators and 48 third-year physiotherapy students volunteered to experience the placement models. Face-to-face interviews with educators, students, department managers and visiting tutors at the end of each placement provided the data for the study. The results of the study threw light on some of the factors that affected the success of each kind of placement. Each of the models has advantages and disadvantages. Planning of any kind of placement is most important for its success. All models provide valuable learning opportunities. = Physiotherapy
