dc.description.abstract Purpose: The purpose of the study was to identify the effectiveness of mirror therapy for upper extremity motor function in cerebral palsy children. Objectives: To identify and analyze the effectiveness of mirror therapy for upper extremity motor function in cerebral palsy children, to improve the motor function and upper extremity functional activity in children with cerebral palsy. To improve the upper extremity hand function in cerebral palsy children. Methodology: Twenty CP children were randomly selected from indoor pediatric unit, CRP and then 10 CP children were randomly assigned for mirror therapy with conventional physiotherapy group and 10 CP children with were randomly assigned for only conventional physiotherapy in this randomized control trial study. As the study was a single blinded study which has been conducted at pediatric department in CRP, Savar. The Pediatric motor activity log scale was used to measure motor function. Results: Data was analyzed by using unrelated “t” test and Microsoft Excel Worksheet 2013 was used to decorate data according to Pediatric motor activity log scale. Conclusion: This experimental study shows that mirror therapy with conventional physiotherapy is more effective than only conventional physiotherapy for upper extremity motor function in cerebral palsy children.
