dc.description.abstract Background: People with amputation have faced many challenges in their community life after completing their rehabilitation. Amputations have varying effects on a patient's ability to operate in daily life on a physical, psychological, practical, financial, social, community level and lack of responsibilities. Objective: This study also explore the barrier and challenges experience to accessing rehabilitation experienced by lower limb amputee return to their community. And also find out the socio-demographic profile, social and environmental factors, impairments of pain depression and opinion of the psychological challenges, physical barrier, Knowing the lack of constraints of duty/responsibility towards their family of the amputee patients. The study also identified the socio-demographic information. This study also showed the association between demographic information (age, gender, occupation and prosthetic device). Methods: The present study is qualitative research with a descriptive phenomenological design. Participants were identified through purposive sampling of patients with lower limb amputation at Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR) Department at CRP. The researchers collected data using semi- structured, in- depth interviews with 15 amputee patients conducted between May, June and July 2024. Data was analyzed according to Qualitative Content Analysis (QCA). Results: Analysis of the data led to the emergence of five themes. The five main themes were impairment in physical function, psychological problem, lack of social and environmental barrier (absence of barrier free environment and transportation problem), And also lack of responsibilities towards family Conclusion: The result will also helpful to know about the demographic and health status of the participants. It is very essential to evaluate their participation restriction. This study provides the basis for identifying levels of social participation of community living amputee people at individual perspective.
