Patients with severe brain injuries can tolerate CPT in a 9 degree head-down position for up to 15 minutes when strict guidelines are followed. Using cerebral perfusion pressure compared to intracranial pressure as a better means to assess a patient's response to chest physiotherapy. 2 tabs. 4 figs. 37 refs.
